We are a family of avid skiers who fell in love with Vermont, on our first ski trip.We simply had to come back to this beautiful area full of friendly locals, superbmountains, awesome nature and a laid-backattitude; we were hooked. We searched for a vacation rental that could accommodate our family of 6 and 2 dogs but there were very few available. We eventually purchased a cute, but too small cottage to which we made substantial renovation to suit our family needs. In the end we created a unique family gathering place that has created incrediblebonds andmemories forour family. In the process we not only discovered a passion for serious renovations but also realized that there is much more to do in this area than hit the slopes. We did not ‘put the key in the door’ at the end of ski season as we first thought we might. We were back in the spring and summer for hikes, canoe, kayak, and paddleboard. We stayed for farmers markets, tried new activities like Frisbee golf, and drove around to enjoy the views of streams and rivers and valleys, covered bridges and all that our new neighborhood had to offer. If you’ve never seen fall foliage in Vermont you are missing something.
A few years ago, with a few major renovation projects under our belt we came upon two cute little chalets. They needed lots and lots of TLC but they had so much potential we couldn’t pass them by. The location was fantastic, year-round activities in the vicinity, great outdoors. Werenovated the chaletsfromtop to bottom with new electrical, plumbing, windows, kitchens, and insulation all while keeping the incredible charm of the original chalets. Our goal was to create the type of place that we would enjoy and want for our family.A place that our grown children would want to use and invite friends to, and the type of chalet we had looked for years before and that we could now share with others.
The chalets areclean, welcoming and a laid-backplace to relax. We look forward to sharing these gems with you, your family and friends.
